Should I purchase RIT credit?

Not all colleges accept RIT PLTW Engineering credit.

MHS staff are not able to research or definitively interpret transfer credit acceptance policies for students and parents.  While purchasing credit is usually beneficial: unless you are certain of a prospective college's transfer credit and letter grade handling policies (usually no GPA effect), we suggest caution.

Example 1: College accepts PLTW RIT Credit

As of the publication date of this page, Binghamton University's Harper College appears to accept RIT PLTW transfer credits with no GPA effect.

Example 2: College offers its own PLTW credit

Purdue University's Polytechnic Institute automatically grants its own credit for specific PLTW Engineering courses.

Deadline to purchase credit

If you choose to purchase credit, do so via this Registration Form and be sure that RIT receives payment by Nov 2 of the calendar year in which you qualified for the credit.
